Program Description

The Connecticut Information Technology Institute (CITI or UConn CITI) is an institution of the School of Business at the Stamford campus. When originally developed, the Board of Trustees and the CT State Dept. of Labor’s goals were to provide professional development training in IT and project management. The major focus is providing training to assist displaced workers in refreshing their skills as part of an effort to find reemployment. These clients typically have received a grant from the DOL to pay for the training. The training we provide is also available to students and other members of the UConn community. Areas of focus are the MS Office suite of programs (Excel, Word, etc.) and project management training including the preeminent PMP certification and the CAPM (Certified Associate in Project Management) which is a beginner level course and certification. Both these certifications are obtained through the Project Management Institute.

We also provide training in data analysis tools, including Tableau, Power BI, and Azure (SQL) database use and development along with several other IT courses.

Student grants or discounts are available.
