Coastal Perspectives Lecture Series

Demographics: audience is mixed, but primarily Caucasian. We aim to have a balance of diversity in our speakers. For example, we try to have half men, half women speakers. We also actively and with intention include speakers from underrepresented groups.

Program Description

Public lectures on coastal issues. This annual lecture series spans the breadth of human interactions with coastal waters, including speakers from the natural and social sciences and arts and humanities.

The lecture series is FREE and open to the public.

Lectures typically begin at 7:30 p.m.

The Connecticut Sea Grant College Program sponsors this series, the UConn Department of Marine Sciencesthe UConn Maritime Studies Program, and the UConn Avery Point Campus Director’s Office.
