Demographics: Rising sophomores, juniors, and senior high school students between 15-17 years old. More than half of our of students come from the New England area, with Connecticut, New York, and Massachusetts making up a large percentage of that population. New Jersey, California, Puerto Rico, and Pennsylvania are also popular home states of our students. In addition, we have had students join our program from China, Ghana, India, Italy, Japan, and the United Kingdom, to name a few.

Program Description UConn’s Office of Early College Programs (OECP) provides students with meaningful academic engagement to enrich their experience in high school and support their transition into college. OECP offers educational opportunities at high school (Early College Experience), in university classrooms (Dual Enrollment), and through on-campus residential summer programs (Pre-College Summer and First Summer).
UConn Pre-College Summer (PCS) is committed to providing a safe and supportive living-learning environment, allowing high school students to explore their academic interests, while gaining knowledge of institutional activities and social environments on a college campus. PCS serves as an exploratory experience where students will gain an understanding of the college classroom through interactions with engaging University faculty and explore the nuances of college-life and transitioning to college at a nationally ranked public University.
