Program Description

SmartBuildingsCT partners with municipal, commercial, and industrial customers in Connecticut to enhance energy efficiency and sustainability in buildings. The program provides expertise and resources to:

  • Reduce energy usage and costs
  • Lower carbon emissions
  • Decrease water consumption
  • Enhance the experience of building occupants
  • Modernize energy data analysis methods and technologies

SmartBuildingsCT focuses on implementing advanced systems and solutions to deliver actionable insights for building investment, operations, and maintenance decisions. The program supports the EPA’s Portfolio Manager online tool, helping organizations in Connecticut monitor and manage building performance.

Since 2012, SmartBuildingsCT has assisted over 70 municipalities across the state, driving meaningful improvements in energy efficiency and sustainability.
