UConn (est. 1881) is the State of Connecticut’s flagship research university and one of the few institutions across the U.S. to hold the triple designation as a Land-, Sea-, and Space-Grant university. UConn’s campuses include the main campus in Storrs; regional campuses in Avery Point, Hartford, Stamford, and Waterbury (the latter three in urban areas and Avery Point on the coast); UConn Health campus (home to a hospital and an academic medical center); and eight Extension offices statewide. Across the different locations and fields, UConn faculty and staff have a broad range of programs in the state, nationally and internationally.
